Sweet little Daisy was found eating at a community cat colony in Harrisburg's inner city 2 days before Christmas. The caretaker noticed that something was very wrong with her tail and scooped her up and took her home. As it turned out, Daisy had what is called a degloved tail. Concerned, her foster mom got her in to see a veterinarian 2 days after Christmas. He recommended the dead tail be removed immediately. She underwent surgery and recovered very nicely. She now has just a cute little stub of a tail! Daisy loves people and enjoys high places where she can observe her surroundings. However, she is not a fan of other cats and should be adopted only into a single cat home.
Daisy has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Interested in meeting her? Complete an on-line application at www.CastawayCritters.org/adopt.
