My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI there, I'm Renee! I’m a sweet and snuggly 1.5-year-old female kitty with a charming gray and white coat. Life threw me a curveball when my last family moved and couldn’t take me along. But now, I'm ready to find my forever home where I can spread love and joy! I’m a cuddle expert and a true lap cat at heart. There’s nothing I love more than curling up next to you, purring softly while you stroke my velvety fur. If you’ve been searching for a furry friend who craves companionship, I’m the one for you! But I’m not just a cuddle bug; I’m also an energetic playmate! I have a playful side that loves to chase toy mice, swat at jingly balls, and conquer my scratching post. Trust me, I’ll keep you entertained with my graceful agility and endless enthusiasm! My affectionate nature shines through during those special moments we share. I adore nuzzling against your hand, inviting you to shower me with head scratches and chin rubs. Each loving touch is pure bliss for me! With my sophisticated gray and white fur and soulful, captivating eyes, I promise to bring warmth and love to your life. Open your heart to me, and let’s start our wonderful journey together—full of love, cuddles, and unforgettable memories! I can’t wait to meet my forever family! For more info contact info@frastx.org

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support two municipal shelters -- Rowlett, TX and Garland, TX – and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
