My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Perry is a handsome cat with a gentle heart that’s still figuring out how to fully trust the world. This conflicted boy might approach you with curiosity one moment and retreat the next - it’s his way of saying he’s trying to understand where he fits in.

With a patient and understanding friend, Perry has the potential to truly shine. He’s shy but thoughtful, and when he feels safe, his sweet personality starts to peek through. Quiet spaces, calm energy, and a little extra time are the keys to helping Perry find his confidence.

If you have the patience to earn his trust and the love to show him he’s safe, Perry could be the most rewarding companion you’ve ever had. Are you ready to help this conflicted boy discover the joy of connection?

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
