A24751 Shadow is a white and gray colored, approximately 3-year-old, 36-pound, neutered male, Terrier mix.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 01-06-2025 due to the fact their new baby has allergies to the dog.
Shadow is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is a friendly boy who loves people and affection. He is waiting at the kennel door for you, excited to see you and get out for a walk. He was easy to leash and excited to go for a walk. He was well behaved during our walks, no pulling, just happy to be next to you and smelling everything. He has had some training and will sit upon command if you motivate him with a treat or toy. He watches the other dogs go by his kennel, no barking and really has no interest in them. The previous owner says he is house broken, used a doggy door, been to the dog park and has lived with children and other dogs, but not cats. Shadow will be a loving, loyal companion in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
