My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At just 3.4 pounds, Flair is a tiny powerhouse of joy! Born in October 2024, this adorable **Chug** (a Chihuahua and Pug mix) is a bundle of energy and personality. Flair lives up to her name—she’s full of charm, sass, and spunk!

She absolutely *lives* for playtime, whether it’s chasing chew toys, zooming around in bursts of energy, or showing off her hilarious antics. Watching her play is better than any comedy show—she’s got enough character to keep you entertained all day long!

Despite her small size, Flair has a big heart and an unshakable spirit. Her journey hasn’t been easy; she was surrendered to a shelter by a young girl who couldn’t afford her vet care. But Flair doesn’t let anything hold her back. She’s ready to find her forever home where she can share her happiness and love with her new family. Flair will be under 12 pounds full grown.

If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a big zest for life, Flair might just be the perfect fit for you!

Flair is an Ambassapup! Her higher adoption fee will enable us to get a dental for a senior dog who badly needs it!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 8, 2025, 11:10 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
