My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet bear who is a beautiful young boy looking for a new home. He is approx 11 months old and weighs 75 lbs. Bear does not realize his size and just wants to play and tends to knock the small kids over in the house. He also wants to play with their older dog a little more than the dog of the house wants to play. For these reasons bears family is looking to find him a home with no small kids and a dog who can match his energy. They adore him and want him to love loved and have an active life which he deserves.

Bear is good in the car and likes to go for rides. He loves belly rubs and getting lots of love. He does pull on a leash a little so an easy walk is best for him. He has zero aggression and is just a big silly boy who doesn't know he is so big. If you want to meet him fill out an application on our website

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
