Sugar was surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in Johnson City, Tennessee because her owner was having financial issues and could no longer care for her. After being rescued by K-9 Lifesavers, Sugar is now ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Sugar has a playful nature and infectious energy. Her friendly disposition makes her a perfect companion for other dogs. She's always up for a game of fetch or a fun playdate with her canine friends. But it's not just her playful side that stands out. Sugar's sweet and loving nature make her an ideal candidate for just about any home. She's always ready to give love and seeks the same in return. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
