Scrappy is now available for adoption! He has spent the last 4 weeks in board and train at Black Hill Dog Company and has learned so much! He has a great foundation started and is looking for a home that will continue working with him and ensuring he turns into the great dog that he is. This sweet boy is very high energy and will need consistency and routine in his life. He is soooo intelligent and really likes to work. He is very eager to please people and learns things quickly. Scrappy is looking for an adopter that knows how young Shepherds can be. An experienced home with a yard for him to run and an adopter that is willing to continue training is the best option for him. Huge shoutout to Black Hill Dog Company, for their work with Scrappy and in helping him become the amazing dog he is today!

Scrappy is up-to-date on relevant vaccines, has been neutered and is microchipped!

More about this rescue

Baladi & Sled Dog Rescue of Ontario is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, providing veterinary care, and finding loving homes for dogs from the dog sledding industry. We also extend our reach locally by rescuing stray dogs and cats from Indigenous communities that we partner with.

Our rescue began saving street dogs and cats, AKA Baladis, in Egypt. Since the important on animals ban implemented in 2022, we are no longer allowed to bring animals into Canada from Egypt. Our efforts, however, expand globally, as we continue to help support the placement of Baladi's in Egyptian shelters.
