My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bettie has a huge personality and is just a spitfire little girl. Despite having CH and a hard time balancing on her own, she makes her way around! Her foster mom has seen her leap and throw herself around just to get where she needs to go. We are working on learning how to do things in a way that won’t hurt her because sometimes she doesn’t realize that she can’t jump like other kittens. She is definitely a goofy one! She is one of the most playful and happy kittens around and she is also one of the sweetest when she is ready to wind down.

Like her siblings, Bettie needs help with most things such as getting around, eating and going potty. However, she is a bit more advanced than her siblings and will try to make her way to the litter box on her own. Her foster mom is happy to report that most of the time, she is successful! She may need help with grooming afterwards though.

It is uncertain how much Bettie will learn as she continues to grow because she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, but everyday it seems she learns something new.

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling (or mom) or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Bettie will need to be adopted with their sibling, Zak or mom, Maven.

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
