My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hugo is a young, large mix breed with a big heart and even bigger personality! He adores people—so much so that being left alone can be a struggle for him. Hugo experiences separation anxiety and is currently on anti-anxiety medication, which has been beneficial, but he will need ongoing training and patience to help him thrive.

As a typical guardian breed, Hugo can be protective and reactive toward other dogs, especially when they’re barking or approaching his handlers. However, he plays well with high-energy, young dogs that match his exuberance. That said, his play style can sometimes be a bit much, so a sturdy, playful canine companion would be ideal.

Hugo is still growing out of his puppy manners and is working on impulse control. He has some adorable quirks like jumping up and mouthing, which he’s learning to curb with training.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and are ready to help Hugo reach his full potential, he’s ready to meet you!
