My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5669996 Meet Osito ! This 8-month-old BullMastiff / Golden Retriever mix is a big, lovable bundle of joy! With his gorgeous russet red coat, giant cupcake paws, and adorably drooly jowls, he’s the cutest, chonky potato around. Osito may be a giant baby, but he thinks he’s a lap dog—always ready to jump up and give you a big hug to say hi! He’s a puppy through and through, with tons of energy and a love for playtime. Osito will need all the basic puppy training to help him be his best self, but he’s perfect for a family ready to learn and grow with their new pup. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion for a lifetime, Osito is your guy!

  • 8 month old red BullMastiff / Golden Retriever mix

  • 78.8 pound neutered male

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Osito might have a little doggy cold, which he’s already being treated for - health waiver needed, adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 12/17/24 as an owner surrender - but we have no idea why, as there are no notes and Osito is such a delightful baby boy!

  • gorgeous russet red coat, big cupcake paws, and adorably drooly jowls

  •  absolutely lovable and sweet

  •  chonky potato of a boy that thinks he's a lap dog

  • a giant puppy with ALL the puppy energy - loves to jump up and give hugs to say “Hi”

  • will need all the puppy basics to be his best self, perfect for a family looking to learn and grow together!

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
