Howdy from Texas! I'm Faffy, a very pretty German Shepherd mix with a big smile on my face. I’m about 1 year old, weigh 55 lbs, and I’m grateful to be out of the pound! I was another stray dog picked up by the San Antonio Animal Care Services, who promptly added me to their euthanasia list since they are overcrowded with too many big dogs. Thankfully, 4 Little Paws Rescue decided to save me even though my paws are definitely not little! Turns out I am the sweetest most gentle girl, just a little shy/submissive at first, but always kind to everyone I meet. I’m friendly with other dogs and enjoy playing and doggy toys and I’ll sit and give a paw for a doggy treat. I have a medium energy level and a sweet disposition. I love tummy scratches and lying my head on your shoulder while you pet me. I’m good on a leash, good in the car, housebroken on a schedule, and I rarely bark. I am hoping for a better life somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard, so inquire about me today!

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
