Meet Pearl – A Sweet Soul on the Road to Recovery!
Pearl is a 6 and half year old, 8 pound Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love to give. This brave little girl has endured some tough times, but her spirit remains as bright as her name. Pearl came to us as an owner surrender after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. Unfortunately, she wasn’t receiving the care she deserved, and she arrived covered in fleas, with a double ear infection, and significant hair loss from flea irritation.
Despite her discomfort, Pearl is a gentle and loving pup. She greets everyone she meets with her warm, friendly personality and wags her tail for other dogs she encounters.
Now Pearl is receiving all the medical attention and TLC she needs. Her ear infections are being treated, and her coat is already beginning to heal. By the end of January, Pearl will be in much better shape and ready to find her forever home.
Pearl would thrive in a home where she can continue to be loved and cherished as she deserves. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love to share her life with a family who can offer her the comfort, stability, and companionship she's been missing.
Pearl has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.

We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm & Rescue on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.
