Rex is a young heeler/border collie mix looking for a ranch or farm to join! He is currently living with a family with young children, and given his breed he gets a little too pushy around them. Breeds like this love to herd, and this behavior isn't necessarily something that fits well around young children or can be easily modified. He does well around the chickens. He gets along with his fur brother, but can be unfriendly when meeting new dogs. He is good with the cat and loves to play with older kids.

More about this shelter

We are a small rescue located in the country outside of Winner, SD. We have a limited number of dogs in our care at any given time, which allows us to work with each of them individually in order to get a good feel for their personality and the kind of family/living situation they would thrive in. The dogs are available to meet any day of the week, but please reach out to coordinate a time. We appreciate your support, and thank you for considering adoption!
