Meet Viola – A Whirlwind of Fun and Personality!

Looking for a pup who’s equal parts silly, energetic, and independent? Meet Viola, a quirky doodle who’s still figuring out the whole “dog life” thing but brings endless entertainment and joy along the way.

What Makes Her Special:
~ Wild and Silly – She’s got a goofy streak a mile wide and hops around like a deer when she’s excited.
~ High Energy – If zoomies were a sport, she’d be a gold medalist! She loves running circles around the house and playing to her heart’s content.
~ Dog-Friendly – She’s a wrestling and playtime champ with other dogs, and she’ll happily keep herself entertained with toys or even a random ornament.
~ Great Recall – Call her, and she’ll come running like a pro!
~ Baby Approved – She’s wonderful with little ones and fits right into a family setting.
~ Potty Cues – She’ll hit the door when she needs to go out and is learning to use potty bells.

What She’s Working On:
~ Potty Training – She’s doing great when she’s medically healthy and has her space, but she’s still figuring out the ropes when it comes to poop routines.
~ People Skills – She’s not quite sure about cuddles or snuggles yet and isn’t a couch potato. However, with a little patience and love, she’s beginning to warm up to the idea of cozying up on the bed.

Submit Application

Once you submit an application we will do a vet check to ensure your current animals (if any) are up to date on all shots and are fixed.

2.
Home Check

We do a home check to ensure your home is the best fit for the animal you are interested in. Our team works to find an animal who suits you.

3.
Meet the Pet

Formal intro with all family members/pets. If you like you can do a 5 day trial then pay and sign contract and enjoy your new family member!

Additional adoption info

For us, the adoption process begins the day we take a dog or cat into our rescue. It’s a huge responsibility, taking in a lost soul and promising them a happy life, but we are pretty proud of the forever families we’ve helped create because our adoption process is so thorough.

The first step in adopting is to fill out the adoption application. This helps our volunteers understand what kind of new friend you are looking for, and allows us to identify any issues that would prevent us being able to place certain animals in certain homes. For example, breed restrictions in your town or apartment complex, etc…

The Beauties will conduct a vet check to make sure the pets you currently have are all up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. We will also contact you to set up a home visit, where we can make sure that the home you have meets the needs of the animal you are interested in. Example: fence height for dogs who are jumpers, stairs for dogs who have mobility challenges, etc… We try to troubleshoot any potential problem areas and offer friendly advise so that our ultimate goal, a forever happy match, can be achieved.

After the application process is complete, the real fun begins! It’s time for Meet-N-Greets! We have a professional dog trainer on our board of directors, and we can schedule her assistance in helping you with dog-to-dog introductions while you are searching for your new family member. It’s amazing how often the existing family pet has a little something to say about who they want to spend time with and having a pro help out makes the potential for a successful intro go through the woof! We mean, roof!

Once you have decided on the dog or cat of your dreams, all that is left to do is sign the adoption contract and pay the fee, which includes all vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter.

Beauties and Beasts is a state-licensed 501(c)(3) death row rescue located in Wichita, Kansas. Since our founding in October 2014, we have been able to save the lives thousands of death row animals, we have also been able to network out thousands more animals to other rescues. We are a completely 100% volunteer run rescue, we also rely on 100% donations from our followers and supporters to carry out our mission to save animals in our community.

Our purpose is to rescue death row animals from the shelter and in our community and place them in foster homes where they can receive the care and training needed to become family pets. Our main mission is to change these animals’ worlds one rescue at a time. Another large part of our mission is to be a voice for animals in need throughout our community and we are proud to say we have been able to make an impact on the streets of our city as well.
