My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Snowball is a beauty who is looking for a new home. Snowball is now in a NJ foster home.

Snowball and several other yorkie and Maltese were dumped at a shelter when their breeder shut down. Our partner rescue in Louisiana stepped in to help save these pups! We think Snowball is either a M altese or M altese/Yorkie mix. Snowball is super friendly with all dogs and humans.  However, she is not housetrained yet.  We were doing well when the cold spell hit and there has been a regression.  She is learning! She would do best in homes with other dogs, the more the merrier!  She has lived with multiples for her entire life so it is her foster's opinion that she definitely needs to placed with at LEAST one other dog but two or more would be even better.  It's not that she needs to play with them, she is self-sufficient but her foster mom thinks multiple dogs being around is a comfort to her.  She is truly the super cutie noted in her tag line and just loves to cuddle.  She is not a fan of being crated, for which she is not to blame coming from an entire life at a breeders.

Snowball is now fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. The vet identified she has a luxating patella on her rear leg which is common in small dogs. It was their assessment it did not require surgery. Her adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
