My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winnie! This precious little girl is 3 months old! She is the definition of precious! Very curious about life & always checking in. Winnie loves to play with her friends but mostly loves to be loved by her humans. She rubs noses with the fosters young cat. Smart; eager to learn! Already crate trained & working on leash & house. Winnie wants to be part of a loving, active family who will love her forever.

Go meet their pets

We would love for you to meet one of our rescue dogs! As we are a foster-based rescue, we don't have a facility. You can make an appointment with us to meet a dog in Tahlequah, OK area. Please email us at waymaker@waymakerrescue.org if interested in meeting a specific dog.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs and to facilitate needed services of food, spay/neuter, medical care, and temporary housing. We partner with local veterinarians and fosters to provide these needed services while we work to find permanent, caring homes for each dog. In addition, we create public awareness on the importance of spay/neuter, medical, and nutritional care for pets in our local community.
