Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Shaggy! Shaggy is an adorable little old man who was owner surrendered due to no fault of his own. He is a 10 year old Yorkie mix (per the previous owner), and recently was neutered and had a dental with nearly full mouth extractions. Shaggy is now feeling better having all of those bad teeth taken care of and is ready to find a new home. He is very spry for his age and is now neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and vaccinated. Shaggy seems to be fine with other animals and humans. His perfect home would be one where someone is home with him often. He is housetrained, but probably needs "belly bands" for now, in order to make sure he does not mark inappropriately as he previously was not neutered and reportedly lifted his leg indoors. Belly bands are a great solution for this to keep your home free of urine while Shaggy gets used to his new home and being neutered. He loves attention and wearing clothes ♥ His adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, dental cleaning with extractions, vaccinations and heartworm test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by to meet him!

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
