Meet Ivy, a super cute 2-3 year old spayed female chihuahua! Ivy was rescued from a hoarding case in east TN, and she and 9 other chihuahuas (several of which were pregnant) were taken in by Paws Rescue League. They have been in a TN foster home for over a month now decompressing and learning to trust people. Ivy is now ready to make the trip to New England to find her furever home!
Ivy is a shy girl and takes a little time to warm up to new people, so she will need someone who is patient and gentle with her, and who will work with her on continued socialization. Once you earn her trust, she is a very sweet girl!
She is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we assume she would be fine with cats. Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space.
Ivy is medically up to date, pee pad trained, and working on outdoor housebreaking. Apply to meet this darling girl today!
Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
