My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Like a Rock… with a Sensitive Heart!

Meet Stone – a very handsome 2-year-old, Mantle Great Dane who’s just a sweet and lovable but sensitive boy looking for a forever family who will embrace his unique personality. He has already weathered some storms, but true to his name, he brings strength and resilience, and he’s got a beautiful spirit that shines through it all.

It seems Stone’s journey hasn’t been easy. When he came to White Kisses, he was pretty thin, and with some love and care, we’re already helping him put on a few pounds so he can reach his full majestic size. He also came with a few, special quirks. He needs a calm, understanding home where his sensitivities are understood. He doesn’t like raised voices, so a peaceful household is key. And for reasons only he knows, Stone has a thing about baseball hats – they make him uneasy, and he will growl at someone wearing one. So, he’ll need his future family to keep their caps in the closet.

Stone's heart is huge, it’s a bit tender. He loves his people and doesn’t like being alone. So, he needs another canine companion in his home. Whether a medium or large dog, he needs another pup who can keep him company and be his partner in crime, adventure buddy and life-long pal. And he can’t be left outside alone for too long… he loves to dig.

If you have a warm heart, a loving home, and you believe in second chances and know that every soul deserves love and patience, then Stone is waiting for you. Together, you can work through his fears, show him the world is a safe place, and be his HERO.

Please spread the word to help Stone find his forever family! Share this post, tag your friends, and let's make sure he finds a family that will give him a wonderful home and all the love he deserves.

White Kisses requires all dogs to be in training within thirty days of adoption. Training is crucial for dogs to learn lifelong skills and to understand their place in the family pack. It is also essential part of getting to know each other and to help your pup become a well-mannered adult GREAT Dane!

Additional adoption info

Before adopting a dog, please remember that this is a life-time commitment.

Ask yourself, do you have the financial means to provide the essential care?

If you rent, you must have landlord's consent.

Are all the animals in your home spayed/neutered? We are pro-spay/neuter and can't adopt or allow you to foster if you have unfixed animals in your home. Your pets must also be current on vaccinations, heart-worm prevention and vet care.

All available dogs are fixed, regardless of age, before they leave our care. We do NOT and will NOT offer spay/neuter contacts.

Please return our phone calls; if you don't, we won't finish processing your application.

White Kisses Great Dane Rescue does evaluate temperament as well as health assessments, but we can make no guarantee's on a dog's health and needs later in life.

Note: Fosters go through an application & home check process as well.

To assist White Kisses GDR in continuing rescue work, Adopter's make a non-refundable donation. This donation is immediately used to pay ongoing costs of rescuing more great danes, including food, veterinary care, kennels, behavior training, etc.
Puppies (under 1 year) - $450.00
Adult Danes (1yo-5yo) - $375.00
Seniors (6yo & up)- $175.00
Mixes- Adoption Donation varies

All dogs in our care are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, dewormed, HW tested and started on HW prevention. They are fully vaccinated, have seen a vet for any veterinary care required and are micro-chipped.

Upon adopting a Great Dane from White Kisses, please give them time to adjust to their new family and environment.

Most Danes will be required to be in training within 30 days of adoption.

More about this rescue

White Kisses Great Dane Rescue is committed to the rescue, rehab and rehoming of Great Danes in Texas and surrounding states. While we do rescue all types of full-blooded Great Danes as well as some Mastiffs and Dane/Mastiff mixes, our passion and #1 priority are the deaf, blind and special needs Great Danes.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 Great Dane rescue operating solely on donations and the work of volunteers. Every donation helps us provide medical attention, housing, food and all other needs of the Great Danes in our care.

We primarily serve Texas and the surrounding states, with adoptions throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our goal is to not only save these magnificent gentle giants from living poorly cared for lives, but also educating the public regarding Double Merles and the care of these special needs Great Danes. We strive to place each Great Dane in the home that best fits the Dane.

Saving our gentle giants, one kiss at a time.
