Name: Saturn Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/retriever mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of Jan 2025 SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 33 lbs -- she still has some more growing to do!
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids, but she can be tested.
Special Adoption Considerations: Because Saturn is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. We would be cautious placing Jazzy in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.
Currently Living at: Texas shelter. Saturn needs a foster or forever home in the DC area!
Saturn is Looking For: Her forever home! After growing up in the shelter, this young girl is ready for a family and a home to call her own. Saturn is out of her youngest puppy days, but she still has lots of young-dog energy and zest for life. She's looking for someone to take her on lots of walks, runs, or hikes, and she's also looking forward to making lots of new friends at the dog park! She also can't wait to give obedience school a try so she can learn some tricks and good manners. Most of all, Saturn just wants a safe home where she knows she will be loved and cared for all of her days.
