Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Larry!
Larry just arrived at Windswept Kennels and is looking for a foster or forever home! Rescued as a stray from a farm in Wendell, ID, Larry was one of nine puppies. His mom is an all-white husky, and his dad may be a German Shepherd. Larry's adoption includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, all current vaccinations, and starter supplies (when available).
About the Breeds (Shepherd-Husky Mix / Shepsky)
Shepskies are active, loyal, and intelligent companions with traits from both German Shepherds and Siberian Huskies. They’re gentle, protective, and playful but require an active lifestyle and consistent leadership.
Traits: Energetic, affectionate, and intelligent.
Exercise Needs: Long walks, vigorous play, and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors.
Socialization: Early and consistent socialization helps them adapt to other pets and people.
Grooming: Clean eyes and ears regularly, trim nails monthly, and brush to manage shedding.
Disclaimer
The listed breed(s) and traits are based on appearance and experience with similar dogs. Traits and size may vary, and breed mixes are not guaranteed.

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
