Here's what my friends at the shelter have to say about me! "Freya is the definition of a land seal! She’s so cute and chonky. When I passed her kennel she was smooshing her face against it, hoping someone would notice her. I started giving her kisses through the bars and she immediately sat, just soaking it all in. She was very excited when I leashed her up. She definitely doesn’t know her size and boomeranged off me at one point. Typical bull in a China shop pittie, and cracked us up with her personality. We sat in the hall and she quickly calmed down in my lap while getting belly rubs. I think she’s just deprived of affection and the lack of stimuli isn’t helping. She met a chill dog and was forward and super interested, but showed no aggression. She was even playbowing at one point. I see she’s being barrier reactive now, which is super common in the stressful shelter environment. Hopefully once decompressed she’d be okay. I really hope someone gives this cute hippo a chance! All she wants is love."
