AUTUMN ❤️

Meet Autumn! She is a 3 month old Pit/Mastiff Mix. Her and her sister, Juniper, are 2 of the 9 puppies rescued from when their mom was attacked with a machete.

This little big girl is playful and energetic, but also sweet and loving. She loves to be cuddled and get lots of attention. Between her and her sister, Autumn is the more “submissive” one but still knows how to stick up for herself. She displays typical puppy behavior as she is learning and experiencing new environments and friends. While being pretty confident in general, she can be timid or “scared” at first of random things/noises, like the garbage bins 🤣, but with a little reassurance she learns that everything is just fine.

We are currently working on confidence building, crate training, potty training and the typical puppy mouthiness. Her puppy teeth are like shark teeth! Miss Autumn has big paws and will be a big girl. She will need a nice yard to play in to get all of her puppy energy out. We are looking for a loving family that will show her the ropes and will help her be her best big self. Our animals are kept in foster care until we find them the best forever home. All prespective adopters fill out our interest form and have a home check as well as a meet and greet with the animal they are considering adopting. A small adoption fee is asked for depending on the animal and it's age etc. An adoption contract is signed by both parties and if there is any issue with the animal after adoption the adopter agrees to return the animal to us.

Our dream at Vegas Pet Rescue Project is to positively impact the Las Vegas homeless, abused and abandoned pets that overwhelm our shelter system by giving them a new lease on LIFE. Our primary focus will be to assist the local animal shelters (Animal Foundation and Henderson Shelter) with the pets who have been given limited time to be adopted before they are removed from the shelter system due to a multitude of reasons. We will accomplish this goal through our extensive network of foster families, donations, and sponsors. We would also like to help finance spay and neuter programs to help low income families be responsible pet owners and decrease the overpopulation issues we face in Vegas. We also feel it important to collect pet supplies and food for local rescues and the city’s Good Samaritans who foster rescue pets and take in strays. Eventually we would love to help create a volunteer based program to investigate and bring down illegal breeding. We have been helping the pet rescue effort in the city for 3 years now and feel like we are just getting started.
