My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trudy is a 6-year-old Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. Recently transferred from King’s County, she’s still building her confidence but is already showing her sweet and affectionate nature to those she trusts. Trudy loves being pet and spending quiet time with her favorite people, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm and loving dog.

Trudy would thrive as an only dog or in a home with a low-energy canine companion. She prefers a peaceful environment and might not be comfortable around high-energy dogs. Trudy also might not be the biggest fan of dog parks, as they could be overwhelming for her. Instead, she’d enjoy leisurely walks, cozy nights in, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

If you’re looking for a loyal and loving friend who will cherish a calm and steady routine, Trudy might be the perfect match for your family. Come meet this sweet girl today and see if she’s the gentle companion you’ve been searching for!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
