My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucas is a true survivor. He was found after wildfires and his owners couldn't be found. He was hungry and had a few burns but he survived. For a boy that has been through so much, he is surprisingly happy and well adjusted. Lucas is also very handsome. The photos just don't do him justice.

He walks beautifully on lead, is house trained and sleeps through the night. If you like an affectionate dog, he is your guy. Lucas will snuggle up with you on the couch and want to go on adventures. At night he prefers to sleep in his dog bed. Lucas loves children and will provide them with love and cuddles.

Lucas is an athletic medium energy dog who loves his walks and play time. He’d be best suited to an active person or family who enjoy walking and hiking. He would do great in a home with another dog to play with. He’s very quiet in the house and spends most of his time lounging or playing with his toys. For cottage goers Lucas is indeed your dog because he LOVES the water.

Lucas is a natural protector, so his family will need to continue his training - building his confidence in social situations and creating trust. Slow introductions to people at home work best, but once he knows you; you are his newest object to snuggle. Lucas can be leash reactive, but is coming along in his training.
