Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
My name is Dexter! I am a 10 month old, 50 lb fluffy boy. We are guessing my mix includes Great Pyrenees, Husky and Aussie. I have the laid back traits of a Pyr (and the patrolling quality) plus the talkative nature of a Husky. My ears - well, they look a bit Aussie! I am a really friendly guy with all the people I have met. I made it through the holiday season with such poise and grace dealing with all the ins and outs of new people, family members, friends etc. I also am good with other dogs. I like to play and romp in the yard. And, yes, I am good with cats too - I even got a notoriously grumpy cat to like me! I get really excited when I see kids. I can be a bit jumpy so only sturdy kiddos should apply. I am housebroken and when my humans are gone, I do well in my gated off area. I am medium energy and would love to learn how to go on leash walks too! I have had some tummy troubles in my past but with trial and error, we found a food that doesn't upset my tummy. We think the neglect that I suffered during my puppyhood just messed up my system but now, I am feeling great and my food is working for me! A fenced in yard and single family home is required for me! Here is a link to the application if interested! https://asecondchanceforziva.org/adopt/adoption-process-application/
