My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skyler and his sister Marmalade are bonded sibling who are looking for a home together. We will only adopt these kittens out as a pair.

Skyler and Marmalade were brought to the shelter with their other two siblings after their mom was sadly hit by a car and passed away. They were only about 6 weeks old at the time so they were brought into foster care. They are now 4 months old.

Skyler is very talkative and loves to have morning conversations about what is going to be served for breakfast. He is incredibly sweet. Although he is not a lap cat, he's always close by either playing or lounging near. He is a playful and curious little guy who loves to explore and sit high on top of perches so he can observe all of the action below.

Marmalade is very sweet and affectionate. She loves to curl up in a lap or with her brother in a cat pile to take a nap. She is a little lover who has a very loud purr that is almost always going. She is as playful as she is sweet and she loves to run around playing soccer with toys and batting around cat dancer toys with her brother.

This bonded pair would love a home that includes windows for bird watching, enough space to run around, and humans who will love and adore them. They are looking to find a person or family who will provide a lap to curl up in, and someone to throw a few toy springs for them. They do well with other cats, and with respectful cat-savvy children. They have never been around dogs, and are more on the timid side, so dogs might not be a great fit for them. If these two sound like your purrfect match, please contact Kingdom Animal Shelter.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter. To adopt from Kingdom Animal Shelter:
Complete an adoption application and authorization for release of information form and bring them to the Shelter during adoption hours or email them to adoptions@kingdomanimalshelter.com or mail them in to P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819. The application and release of information forms are available at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/available-cats.html or you can pick them up from the shelter during adoption hours.
An adoption counselor will review your application, contact 1-2 personal references and contact your veterinarian for a reference. Additionally, if you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for permission to have an animal in the household.
Please allow at least 3 business days for the process to be completed.
After the review is complete, the adoption counselor will contact you, generally by e mail or by phone.
You will be notified if your application is approved or declined.
If the application is approved, you will work with the adoption counselor to work out a mutually agreed upon time and date for you to take your cat home.
