My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scout and his sister Autumn are bonded siblings who are looking for a home together. We will only adopt these kittens out as a pair.

These two adorable 'sweet potatoes' are a brother sister pairing with a bond like no other. They are social butterflies and are the perfect combination of sassy and sweet. At their current age of 4 months they are at the peak of their playful kittenhood. They are known to turn anything into a fun game or toy, but when they get tired out, curling up and taking a nap on a lap is their favorite place to be. These two are very people oriented and like to be out and in the action of the home.

They were brought to the shelter with their other 2 siblings after their mom was sadly hit by a car and passed away. They were only about 6 weeks old at the time so they were brought into foster care.
These two are extremely friendly and affectionate and do well with children who know how to respectfully handle animals. They are great with other cats of all ages, and while they have never had any experiences with dogs, these two are pretty bold and could be a good fit with the right dog who has a gentle, cat-friendly demeanor. Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter. To adopt from Kingdom Animal Shelter:
Complete an adoption application and authorization for release of information form and bring them to the Shelter during adoption hours or email them to adoptions@kingdomanimalshelter.com or mail them in to P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819. The application and release of information forms are available at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/available-cats.html or you can pick them up from the shelter during adoption hours.
An adoption counselor will review your application, contact 1-2 personal references and contact your veterinarian for a reference. Additionally, if you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for permission to have an animal in the household.
Please allow at least 3 business days for the process to be completed.
After the review is complete, the adoption counselor will contact you, generally by e mail or by phone.
You will be notified if your application is approved or declined.
If the application is approved, you will work with the adoption counselor to work out a mutually agreed upon time and date for you to take your cat home.
