My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION

LUCA IS BEING FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT IS ABLE TO TRAVEL TO IOWA ON ONE OF OUR UPCOMING TRANSPORTS.

Luca is a charming, approx. 2 year old, husky mix who arrived at the shelter with his three siblings and parents, escaping some tough circumstances. Now in a loving foster home, he’s ready to find his forever family!

Luca thrives in the company of other dogs, enjoying spirited games of chase in the yard, tug-of-war, and cozy naps by their side. While he has a dominant play style, he’s made plenty of doggy friends through proper introductions. Although he can be a bit skittish at times, Luca adores human companionship. He appreciates a good scratch and loves to sleep at the foot of the bed, but he’s also content being left alone when needed. Luca is well-behaved and knows commands like "sit" and "down." He’s shown his good manners in public outings. True to his husky nature, he loves to chat but is surprisingly quiet at the door, not alerting bark when visitors arrive or when the neighbor’s dogs bark.

Luca is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped.

If you're interested in adopting this sweet boy, please complete our adoption application linked below. Thank you for considering giving Luca the loving home he deserves!

We do not have a physical facility and rely on the generosity of foster homes to care for our animals until they are ready for adoption. Each month we transport dogs and cats from Texas to Iowa. Following the "Freedom Ride," we hold adoption events at local businesses and parks. Visit our website https://easttexashoofandpawrescue.org/events or our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/EastTexasHoofandPaw to see upcoming adoption events.
