Let's hear it for Louise! This confident, happy Sheepadoodle girl is 3 years old and 58 lbs. She is a friendly and playful pup who enjoys toys, bones, car rides, cuddles, and walks. This affectionate and sweet girl is all about love and attention, while she’s still learning how to ask for it politely.
Her foster parents shared that Louise is incredibly smart and picks up on new things quickly. She is never not thinking about where she could potentially be getting affection. She needs reinforcement with her manners, as she will continue to paw at us to try and get our attention. Louise would love to sit in anyone's lap who let her! She truly thinks she's a small dog and just wants to be cuddled all day.
Louise has also been a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with other dogs. Previous owner said she's good with cats and kids, but she hasn't been exposed to either in our care. She is also making progress on housetraining, and with more positive reinforcement she should have it down soon.
She's not a huge fan of the crate, but her foster found that playing calming music helps her settle. However, due to her sheepdog mix nature, she is not shy about singing the song of her ancestors, so we'd recommend a home with no shared walls and parents that can understand her communication.
Louise would fit into any home where her family can scratch her head on the daily. She’d thrive in a home where she can continue to grow, share her big heart, and be someone’s devoted companion.
Her minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
