Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Finnegan, a stunning 77-pound Bernedoodle born in October 2020. We got him from a breeder near Mount Vernon during the early pandemic. Finnegan is highly intelligent, affectionate, and eager to please. He is fantastic on walks, doesn't pull, and stays calm around other dogs and people.
Finnegan would thrive as the only dog in a home. While he loves humans, he has struggled to adjust to living with my partner's two dogs, which has led to pack-like reactivity and dominance behaviors. He is currently on an inexpensive medication for mild anxiety, which we believe would improve in a quieter, single-dog environment.
Finnegan loves affection, companionship, and having something soft to mouth when he is anxious. This has been a painful decision, but we are seeking a loving home where Finnegan can be the center of attention and reach his full potential.
