My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there human, they call me Dobey around here. I am looking for a home where everybody can read and understand my body language. I would also like the be your one and only cat, I have not had any luck making friends with other cats in the past and would prefer not to go there again. I have lived with a small dog and did fine with that. I like to get affection from humans and especially love help with scratching all the hard to reach spots. From time to time I also love to climb up into your lap and settle in for a warm rest. When I`m not looking for love I enjoy exploring my surroundings and checking out the great big world around me. I`m looking forward to finding my furerver home and being showered in unconditional love!!

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
