My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella: Your Big-Hearted, Blue-Nosed Sweetheart!

Hi, I’m Bella, a 6-year-old Blue Nose Pit Bull with a heart as big as my beautiful smile! I’ve been with my family since I was just six weeks old, and now I’m on the lookout for a new best friend who can shower me with love and understand my special needs.

I’m a cuddly, goofy girl who doesn’t quite know her size—if I’m on the couch, expect me to sprawl across your lap like I’m a lapdog. Belly rubs are my ultimate weakness, and if you stop, I’ll nudge you with my paw to politely request more! When I get excited, I’ll zoom around like a puppy, showing off my playful side.

My Perfect Day
Mornings: A yummy cooked breakfast of beef, canned veggies, and sweet potatoes (kibble isn’t for me, thanks to my sensitive tummy).
Afternoons: Lounging around or going for a car ride—I’m an excellent co-pilot and love exploring new places!
Evenings: Cozy snuggle sessions, belly rubs, and maybe some quiet time in my crate, where I feel safe and secure.
Special Notes About Me
I have hypothyroidism and severe stomach issues, but don’t worry—I’m easy to care for once you know my routine. I take a thyroid pill twice a day and two capsules of powdered Tylosin at night. My cooked diet is the secret to keeping my tummy happy!

I’m a little shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I’ll smother you with kisses and affection. I do well with kids and other dogs but might prefer to be the only pet so I can have all your love to myself.

What I Need
I’m looking for a home with a patient, loving person who understands my health needs and can give me the care I deserve. If you have time to help me thrive and room in your heart for a big snuggle bug, I promise to be your loyal companion.

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
