My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Pip, and I’m a fluffy, long-haired buff and white cat looking for my forever home. I’m almost a year old now, so I’ve got plenty of energy and curiosity but still enough kitten-like playfulness to keep things fun! I love exploring new places and snuggling up when I’m all tuckered out. My soft fur is perfect for petting, and I promise it’s just as cuddly as it looks. If you`re looking for a loving, fluffy companion who will make you smile with my goofy antics and affectionate nature, I might be the perfect fit for you. Let’s make a lifetime of memories together!

From our humble beginning in 1951, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has grown to meet the needs of homeless dogs and cats. Since moving to our state-of-the-art facility at 1300 West Conway in Harbor Springs, Michigan, in 2001, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has sterilized more than 10,000 animals owned by community members and has placed more than 5,000 animals into loving homes.

In addition to being an adoption center, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society offers a variety of proactive programs to help shelter animals become adoptable companions including the “Pit Stop Program,” the “Ruff-to-Ready Scholarship Program,” “Spay-it-Fourward,” the “Animals Need to Give Everybody Love (ANGEL) Program,” boarding, grooming, daycare, and a full-service veterinary clinic.
