My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a super sweet, little 1 yr old, blue and green eyed girl with 26lbs of love to give. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me some time and I promise to be your best friend. I love to play, cuddle, and I'm very gentle with everyone I meet. I'm still learning the ropes of house training, but I'm a quick learner. I get along well with other dogs and ok with the cats at the vet office. I’ll need to meet by housemates first, just to make sure we can be a happy family. I might need a little patience as I settle into my new home, but I promise, I'm worth it. We aren’t sure how I am with kids since I was a stray. I'm just a sweet, friendly doll baby looking for a forever home. Will you give me a chance to shine in your life? Come fall in love with me at the Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Gilead, OH or call 419-946-1747 for more info on me. If I’m not a perfect match with your family, please share me so I can find a home.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
