Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 30lbs - very underweight at this weight!

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have not seen Maximus with children or cats yet.

Currently Living at: SC Rescue Campus

Maximus is Looking For: His forever home! Shelter staff say he is very sweet and a little shy. He ended up in the shelter through no fault of his own and it's a little confusing. He wants nothing more than to once again have his own humans, to love and to be loved. To trot by their side, to explore the neighborhood - local parks -the world! - with them.

In exchange, he promises adoring gazes, all the love in his little body, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Does Maximus have a spot in your lap and your life?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
