My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Keller and I’m a beautiful little shorthaired pure white boy with bright blue eyes! It’s a beautiful combination, but typically that combination means a deaf kitty! And that’s me… I can’t hear a thing!

Helen is my sister, a couple years older than me a nd she is my “hearing cat”. I could not live without her. She has been with me all my life. Sometimes we spat at each other, but that’s typical of siblings anyway. When we were first rescued, we were very nervous kitties and not sure what to think of being inside as we were outdoor kitties prior to that . With my lack of hearing, I could easily have been killed by a car or another animal without even knowing it was going to happen, so the people who rescued us knew we had to go to a rescue that would get us healthy, keep us safe and find us a good home!

We have acclimated wonderfully! We’d love to be on the couch with you and on your lap and be petted and scratched, and Pampered! Check out our video! Would you consider giving me and Helen our forever home? We will love you forever! Love, Keller!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Our adoption process is not first-come, first-serve. Our goal is for the right fit -- for the adopter and our fosters.

2.

Interview

We will contact you either my phone or email to go over your application.

3.

Approve Application

Once your application has been approved, we will work with you to set up a time to meet your potential new family member.

4.

Meet the Pet

If you do not have a specific cat in mind, we can set up a meet and greet to introduce you to several of our wonderful fosters.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

6.

Pay Fee

$150 donation fee, subject to change at any time. This fee is nonrefundable after 14 days.

7.

Take the Pet Home

Be sure to arrive at your meet and greet with a carrier - just in case you decide to finalize the adoption that day.

Additional adoption info

Our rescue policy requires all kittens and cats to be spayed and neutered before adoption. If you are interested in one of our kittens who are too young to be spayed or neutered, we will accept a pre-adoption application, but will not finalize until post surgery and recovery. Adoption fee must be paid to hold the kitten(s).

More about this rescue

7WHSKRS stands for 7 Women Helping Save Kitties Rescue Society. It is our goal to help as many abandoned, stray and injured kitties in the Winter Garden area as we can through in-home fostering and our supporters.

Among us, we have decades of rescue experience. And even though we're in a pandemic, we decided to start our own rescue, because cats still need our help. And to do what we do, we need your help too! Donations and fosters are always needed.
