Mushu's story started with heartbreak when his owners left him behind as they went out of town for the holidays. At just 1 year old and weighing 9 pounds, this little Pekingese arrived covered in fleas and with painful scabs from relentless scratching.

But Mushu’s spirit couldn’t be dimmed. Despite his rough start, he’s an absolute sweetheart who adores snuggles, thrives on attention, and has so much love to give. He’s great on a leash, enjoys car rides, and is crate-trained. Mushu gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely loves children.

The adoption donation varies on the age, breed and vet care provided. All of our dogs receive all necessary vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and dewormings. All of our long haired dogs are professionally groomed and our senior pups receive a dental. After filling out an adoption application, one of our team members will check your vet reference and set up a time for you to meet the dog. We do a home check as part of the adoption process and all members of the household (human and canine) must meet the dog prior to finalizing the adoption.

We are a 100% foster based rescue organization. We do not have a facility that you can visit as each of our dogs live in foster homes until they are adopted. We run off of donations and every dollar helps!
