Hello everyone, I’m Starlight! I’m a magical little girl who moved here from Mississippi a few days ago to find my forever home. Someone scooped me up, put me in the Sandi Paws van, and then, next thing I knew, I was in Wisconsin. I’m currently staying at a “foster home.”There’s other dogs here, and boy are they fun. I love playing with them, and cuddling with them during naps. My big foster brother is my favorite. I love napping with him, and I like following him around the house because he’s teaching me house dog things. There’s these weird other creatures here. They’re my size but have pointy ears, long tails, and they smell different than the dogs here. I think I heard my foster dad call them “cats”. I tried to say hi to them, but they usually just jump up onto a high thing, so I’ve pretty much given up and just don’t pay any mind to them. I really like sitting on the couch with my humans and the other dogs here. I also love it when one of the humans wrap me up in a blanket. It usually causes me to accidentally take a nap. They also have this “TV” thing. It’s really interesting and I like to watch what’s happening inside it. I sleep in a kennel at night. It’s cozy. I have a fluffy bed. I try to sleep through the night, but once in a while I wake up anxious. I do my best to not make messes in there as well. Speaking of messes, I heard my humans talking about my potty training. They say I’m doing great. I try to hold things until I get outside. But if I can’t, I only go on the inside grass pad they have. If you think you’d like to meet me, head on over to https://www.sandipaws.org/adopt to fill out an application. I’d love to meet you, and would love to share some puppy love with you. My foster parents said that if you have any questions about me, they’d be more than happy to answer them. I hope to see you soon!!! Thank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org for more information on our organization or to fill out an application to adopt one of our pets. You can find information for volunteering on our site as well.

Additional adoption info
See our adoption process at www.sandipaws.org/adoption
A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.
Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
