Hickory Nut may start off a little shy, but give him some time, and you’ll see just how playful and loving he can be! This sweet puppy is a gentle boy who takes a little extra time to warm up, but once he does, he’s full of snuggles, tail wags, and playful energy. He loves belly rubs and being held, finding comfort in the arms of someone he trusts. With patience and love, Hickory Nut will blossom into the most devoted and affectionate companion.

The initial phase of our adoption protocol involves prospective adopters completing an adoption application.

Following submission, our administrative team conducts a thorough review, and if approved, the application is then forwarded to the animal's foster.

Subsequently, a phone interview is scheduled to address follow-up queries, provide additional information about the pet, and acquaint the adopter with our organization. If the interview is successful, arrangements are made for a meet and greet, along with a home visit. For pets adopted out of state, the meet and greet and home visit are conducted virtually.

The final steps in our adoption process include verification of identification, finalization of the adoption contract, and payment of the adoption fee.
