My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jinju, a 6-7-year-old spayed female terrier mix with a charming black-and-white coat, weighing in at a petite 6.7 kg. This lovely girl was rescued from a municipal shelter and has since proven to be a true gem. Jinju is a social butterfly who adores people, whether they’re familiar faces or new friends. She warmly approaches strangers for pets and cuddles and even allows herself to be scooped up with ease. Her gentle nature extends to children under 13, whom she interacts with beautifully.

When it comes to canine company, Jinju greets other dogs politely but prefers to observe rather than join in on the play. She’s most comfortable around dogs her size or smaller and feels a bit overwhelmed by high-energy companions or larger pups. That said, she’s not particularly interested in other dogs and is perfectly content to focus on her people. Cats and birds don’t seem to catch her attention during walks, but further observations can be made at request.

Jinju is a low-energy, easygoing girl who loves nothing more than lounging peacefully indoors. However, she’s always excited to head out for a stroll and is a pro on the leash, walking calmly by your side without pulling. She’s also a quiet pup who rarely barks, doesn’t mind sharing her food or toys, and behaves beautifully in a kennel. While she typically prefers doing her business outside, she’s well-mannered enough to adapt to your routine.

With her serene demeanor, affectionate personality, and love for human companionship, Jinju is the perfect blend of calm and cuddly. She’s happiest soaking up attention at home or enjoying leisurely walks with her favorite people. This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home—could it be yours?

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
