Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Lucy is a beautiful, loving, docile cat who is about 7. She unfortunately started having seizures a few years ago. We have her on meds but she intermittently continues to have breakthrough seizures.
We think that Lucy’s seizures are continuing in part because of our very stimulating household: a toddler, a very loud and territorial chiweenie, and we are rarely quiet or stagnant. We have a baby coming soon and we have major concerns about how her seizures may be impacted by the change and possible risks she may pose to the baby if she has a significant seizure.
She has remained very sweet and has never tried to bite us or anything like that. Occasionally she will hiss if disturbed in a postictal state but otherwise she doesn’t even do that. We and others medicate her with no issues.
Lucy would benefit from an environment with no other animals, no kids, very low key, and someone who has the time and financial ability to manage her medical needs.
