My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holssi is a 7-month-old white terrier mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was euthanized. This is an important period of growth for Holssi where he has a much to learn but is also curious about the world around him. Understanding Holssi’s traits and behavior patterns is essential for him to adapt well to his new environment and to grow up healthy.

Holssi can be a bit sensitive at first, but once you get to know him, he is infinitely charming and lovable. He bonds particularly well with women. This is likely because the primary caregiver in the home care center where he is currently undergoing socialization training is a woman. Relationships with men can also develop over time and while the relationship may be wary at first, He forms a strong connection once he feels comfortable.

Holssi is potty trained. However, he is highly excitable around people and may occasionally urinate unexpectedly. It is best to refrain from excessive excitement when you first meet each other. This is part of a behavior modification that will help Holssi grow more stable. Holssi is well mannered when he is at the dog groomer and demonstrates a high degree of trainability in basic commands like “sit” and “stay.” He is currently getting his training in Korean so you will need to be patient while he adjusts to English commands.

Holssi is a very energetic young puppy who prefers playing with his big dog friends rather than his smaller ones. He may be seen chasing birds or squirrels while walking, so it is recommended to use a double leash. He also tends to be startled by moving objects such as bicycles and strollers while walking, but this is a natural reaction for young puppies, and he will be able to adapt gradually as he gets older. Holssi is already demonstrating that he can be a great walking companion and with continued practice and training, he will get better as he gets older.

Holssi may be sensitive to changes in his environment due to his young age, so please wait for him to come to you on his own. The longer you grow together and the deeper your connection is to Holssi, the more charming he will become. With constant training and love, Holssi will grow into a wonderful dog. I am sure that his bright and energetic personality will bring a lot of joy to your life.

More about this rescue

We are against the slaughter and consumption of dogs in Korea.
In Korea, there are many dogs that are kept in overcrowded cages in dog-meat facilities. They are sent to the market after being tortured to death. Although the consumption of dog meat is increasingly controversial and the vast majority of younger generations do not believe in dog meat, there are still many dogs that need to be rescued from farms and streets on which they have been abandoned/mistreated by humans.

We are committed to finding forever homes for dogs in Canada.
