Matteo / Neutered Male / 1 Year / Northern Mix Breed / 60 pounds / Dogs: Yes / Cats: No / Kids: Yes /
Meet Matteo, a one-year-old Husky mix from a remote northern Ontario community who is ready to find his forever family. Matteo is a lovable and affectionate dog who thrives on companionship—he loves to be near his people, often with his head resting in your lap, soaking up all the love he can get.
He’s a great listener and incredibly food motivated, often indulging in his favorite treat: a lick mat with a bit of yogurt. Once he’s finished his, he’ll happily check on the other dogs to ensure no scraps are left behind!
This curious and playful boy is full of energy and loves exploring. He’s recently discovered his fondness for rolling around in the snow and enjoys playing in the backyard. He’s also quite content curling up in his favorite spots around the house for a nap or chewing on a bone.
When it comes to walks, Matteo is a joy—he’s well-behaved, enjoys the new smells, and sticks close to your side, showing his desire to be near his person. Despite his Husky mix background, he’s surprisingly quiet and calm, making him an easy companion.
Matteo is smart, eager to please, and has a gentle, friendly demeanor. He’s earned the privilege of being free during outings, and is well-behaved when left alone, never barking or chewing. He’s simply a sweet, good-natured boy who would love nothing more than to be part of a family that will shower him with affection.
If you’re looking for a cuddly, playful, and loyal companion, Matteo is the perfect fit. He’s ready to make someone his best friend, and it’s clear he’s hoping for a family to call his own. As I write this, he’s snuggled up with my pup, content in his crate—just waiting for his next adventure with his forever family.
Matteo is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He is being fostered in Kitchener.
