My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is a four year old, 16 lbs. male Shih Tzu who is shy and quiet. He has a beautiful black coat. He loves snuggling right next to you and looks up at you with complete adoration in his big, dark eyes. Charlie is pee pad trained and he never misses. He is working on going outside, which will be easy since he loves treats and rewards and being petted. He is great on his daily walks too. Charlie is very friendly and likes people and other dogs and can be playful at times. He is timid and shy, so it takes him a bit to warm up to strangers and will watch and assess them from a safe corner. Charlie needs a quiet house with a family who will be patient and continue to draw him out of his shell. He needs a home with another quiet dog to keep him company, and help him socialize. He is fostering in western PA in a home with other dogs and a family who is always home.

More about this rescue

We are a national rescue organization, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of toy breed dogs. We believe that, somewhere, there is a perfect, loving home for every dog, and that every dog deserves such a home. We accept dogs in need from shelters, familes, and breeders, and after a brief period in loving foster homes, they are placed in permanent adoptive homes.

**NEWS FLASH**
We have an *URGENT* need for foster homes. Please visit our website to fill out a volunteer foster home application. fThank you!!!
