My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a Siamese/torbie mix with sharp blue eyes. I have three legs now but that doesn't slow me down a bit. I'm enjoying early retirement after being a young, single mother with a severe leg injury. I would like to find a nice house where I can relax in peace and quiet. I do like to be petted, but I went through a lot in my short life so I need a quiet, patient home where I feel comfortable enough to seek your attention and show you my wonderful soft purr. I would fit perfectly into a home with older people. I tolerate the dog and other cats, but could do without them too and could possibly be an only cat.

Brigitte was seen wandering with a broken leg, terrified of people, and very pregnant. We were able to trap her, and discovered that she was very tame, and very scared. She burst into purrs when she was brought into her foster home and hasn't stopped purring since then. Her five babies were born the morning of June 2, 2010 and are now up for adoption.

Unfortunately, Brigitte's leg was so badly broken and at risk for causing an infection that it had to be amputated. However, she is doing even better now that she is not in pain, and gets around very well, running and jumping. A house with minimal stairs and maybe some carpeting would probably be best for her. She is now ready for her forever home! There is no question this gentle, strong, and sweet kitty will be grateful for a house to call her own and a human she can love. She is very bonded with her babies, especially Amelie, and would love to find a home with one of them.
