My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster humans call me Gizzy, but it's so undignified, and humans are so silly, but I love them anyway. I'm a laid back and polite girl, and you can carry me around. I'm not really a lap cat yet, more of a follow my favorite person everywhere companion cat. I take my job as a kitty companion very seriously and will stay by your side most of the day, squeaking to keep you in line. My sister, Pandora, provides backup companionship and is never far from me. I get along with other cats and dogs.

Athena, affectionately known as Gizmo and bearing a resemblance to the members of the band KISS, is named after the Greek goddess of wisdom and the arts - it looks like she already has her stage makeup on! Athena has really come out of her shell, and is a very sweet, cuddly companion. She would be fine as an only cat, but loves the other cats and tolerates the dog. She has already learned to love getting petted, and is very sweet. She used to curl up in little places - shoes, on top of books on the bookshelf - but now she loves cuddling with people the best!

Athena is from an ongoing spay/neuter project where animals were being dumped. The kittens are up for adoption while we raise funds for the many cats dumped on this property to be spayed and neutered. ** Unless otherwise noted, all of our adoptable cats and kittens must have kitty playmates. We reserve the right to deny an adoption application.**
