Welcome FINLEY to DASH!
Finley is a 4 year old “Maxi-Mini” Aussie 42-45 lbs.
Finley is an active guy! His energy level is 8/10 and a home where there are outdoorsy, energetic adults would be perfect! Finley LOVES walks and jogs.
Finley also enjoys car rides.
He’s also playful and very quick to learn; he will play fetch with his bone and tennis ball.
Typical of an Aussie Fin likes his butt-rubs. He also enjoys Tummy-scratches and being petted in generality!
Finley is excited each morning to greet his people and escort them to the kitchen as well as happy to assist in their meal-prep and his own! Smart guy knows a lot of tricks and commands…

“He knows how to sit, lie down and stay on command. He is a phenomenal jumper. It is great to watch his little butt shake when he walks. He’s definitely a wigglebutt.
Finley is a little timid around other dogs. He goes to doggie daycare 2 times a week and the owners love him! They say he gets along well with the other dogs. He is fine with thunder and storms. He does get startled with sudden loud noises.
Finley has been in the same home since he was a puppy. We know this decision is never easy for families and it’s DASH’s job to help the dogs not judge the people. We know they’re in pain so we want to help!
We are helping Finley find a home with people to pet him, walk him, feed him and love him so a whole new chapter can begin for Fin!

General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities.
We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.

Our goal is to help our puppies and dogs find FOREVER HOMES AND FAMILIES, NOT TO MAKE IT PROHIBITIVE FOR YOU TO ADOPT. However, once we review the application and contact you, we MEET TO ADOPT, so please let us know if you are ONLY APPLYING TO STAY ON FILE or THAT YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT, for the consideration of our puppies and dogs and families who know the time is right!

COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the prohibitive nature of COVID-19 we are conducting ALL home checks via virtual appointments. We are also NOT allowing meet & greet appointments with puppies or dogs who are not completely up to date on vaccinations due to risk or exposure to outside contaminants. We REQUIRE ALL adopters to wear a mask & gloves when picking up their pet, to insure that everyone is protected from unknowing exposure to COVID-19.
THERE WILL BE ZERO ACCEPT IONS MADE.
