My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Princess,
Sweet, gentle, and full of potential, she is a loving soul looking for a calm, understanding home where she can truly flourish. After spending most of her life as a breeder (aka #03, which will forever be tattooed inside her ear), she is still learning what it means to be a pet. However, her tail is constantly wagging, her heart is pure, and her loyalty is unwavering.
Princess is not house trained, does not know how to handle stairs, and is scared of being on the leash...things that were never taught to her before coming into rescue. But, day by day, we are making small progress. Her quiet nature and sweet demeanor make for a wonderful companion for someone willing to give her the time and patience to learn all of this.
While Princess does live with other dogs and cats (she does great with both) she can at times get a little overwhelmed in which she will retreat to her "safe space" (her dog bed). She would do best in a peaceful household, ideally with someone who can build a close, trusting bond with her. In return, she will reward you with endless affection and gratitude as she discovers the joys of a loving home.
If you are looking for a gentle, super low-key companion to grow with then Princess might just be the perfect match for you!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes adoption application which can be completed at our website wagsmn.org. Current fees can also be accessed on our website. After reviewing your application, a meeting is scheduled between you and the pet in the foster’s home or a neutral dog friendly place. If there are any resident dogs in your home, it is required that the dogs meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit is scheduled and, if everything goes well with the visit, the adoption is finalized. A home visit by one of our representatives is required prior to finalizing any adoption, and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason Adoption fee includes: vet exam(s), spay/neuter, de-worming, heartworm test (if 6 months of age or older), vaccinations, microchip, and FIV/FeLv testing (for cats only). Email is the best way to get a fast response (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com).

Go meet their pets

All animals are available to meet by appointment arranged with the foster.
Please come see us at Petsmart on the 2nd Saturday of each month in Eagan (Petsmart 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121); 4th Saturday of each month in Richfield (Petsmart 1100 W 78th St, Richfield, MN 55423); and the 3rd Sunday of each month in Maple Grove (Petsmart 11200 Fountains Way Maple Grove, MN 55369). We will have many adoptable dogs, puppies, and maybe a kitten or two that are able to attend for public viewing... please stop in and play! If you are interested in a specific dog or cat from viewing our available animals at wagsmn.org, please email us in advance of an adoption event (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com), and we will do our best to have them at the event.
